i am just wondering how aau helps wrestling (other than personal mat time and experience).. usa wrestling helps out olympians etc and scway helps local colleges. what does aau do with profits???

Almost all the profit goes to the club where the the tounament was held, the other money goes into buying medals and taking the AAU-Southern Pacific Team to Claifornia State Games in July

Here is reality, if you have a club that needs insurance and does not go to tournaments AAU is the way to go 12.00 insures the Athlete, 14.00 get a membership that protect the Athlete for all organized events ( playground, school) they participate in even if it is not AAU. The real question is if you have 20 member of a club is the saving worth it. There is no restriction to belong to mulitiple groups.
