First off congrats to the Cali Ladies for once again winning both tournaments this week, besting some very tough, Wa, Hi, and Tx teams to become what we already know you are; Champions.

But I dont think (unless you were there) anyone could truely appreciate what these ladies did and the total injustice overall our California kids were delt with regards to the entire experience. Before the ladies tournament even began our girls had to dea
- Their womens director not making the trip with them after they and parents were told all year that she would be present.
- with subpar (not just in my opinon, but to every parents opinion who saw it) living conditionsin the dorms at NDSU.
-Fargo reached 90+ most days with the heat index indicating 114-120 degrees every day.
- Showers that didnt hardly work
- Door knobs that locked some girls in the bathroom the night they had a tornado warning.
- Girls contracting skin funk that even the doctors couldn't i.d.
- Training facility that reached over 100 degrees before the heat index resulted in girls passing out during work outs.
These are just several things our girls had to face. Where exactly is our money going for these events. These conditions could have severly hindered our girls chances from performing at their optimal level. And in some cases did. But they fought through it.
It was sad to see our ladies staying in the Fargodome between sessions just to stay out of the humidity and heat while other states went to their climate controlled hotel rooms.
So being a curious parent i began to ask how much these other states pay to have the access to stay in hotels with a/c that were literally closer to the Fargodome then the dorms( Right across the strett).
Wisconsin pays 350 (but they are close so i understand that)
NJ pays 1000 travel just as far as Ca
OH and by the way Pa, pays zero from the people i ask.
Florida this is great pays 1000 as well but gives kids discounts for going to regional and national tournaments and even allows kids to work off some fees by working other regional or state events by paying the kids 10 bucks an hr so most kids pay 700.
Georgia does the same thing. All of them pay less then or close to ours with benifits that result in kids paying less for participating more.

Im sure for parents like the Doi's, Hendey's, and others who send their kids all over the nation to represent California could have used such a break. Especially with the level of success they bring.
