It would be interesting how the CBU community would welcome a women's program. This idea makes me think of the incident this past season where a boy refused to wrestle girls in his state tournament. He used his 'Christian' faith to back his decision and recieved enormous support and coverage for doing so. So...women's wrestling at a Christian University? Don't know or see how that would go over.

missouri baptist and lindenwood are 2 Private christian Universities with womans wrestling .And about the kid, That was His personal decision threw Prayer. I might have made the same decision If put in the same circumstance .I think this is about woman warriors for Christ not Woman vs Men I have spoke with The Folks at CBU and it is not in the cards as of yet.
I respect their choice at this Time and am excited about CBU s present opportunities

Actually, most of the colleges in the US that offer women's wrestling are private christian colleges. In addition to Lindenwood and Missouri Baptist, are Wayland Baptist, Waldorf, King, Cumberlands, Oklahoma City University, and Missouri Valley. Those are just the one's I can think of at the present. There is definitely hope, and with the growth of the sport, it may be another draw for the university.

to flourish in college would be for the NCAA allow all institutions to count women's wrestling towards title IX compliance. Further, I think NCAA I, II, III, NAIA and NJCAA should have an open division college nationals in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament every year. I think this would help with the development of men's and women's programs, encourage grass roots wrestling organization to push the sport for both genders and provide television exposure for the women.
