California State Games in San Diego...

Just a little disappointed in California's participation at this event. I understand that some are playing other sports, but 185 entrees, including the out of state kids? Really? There were kids from New Mexico, Utah, New York, Idaho, Kansas and Missouri. Low #'s, but they were there. Just a little curious as to why more wrestlers from California wouldnt get involved in this event? Is it cause its the "off season"? I've heard some say its because its usually a small turn out. But dont we have to attend in order to make it better? Please share coaches and parents. Thanks!

I have gone to state game 3 out of the last 4 years n this year was a bad turnout usually i see at least 13 kids in each bracket. As to why this year was so low is still a mystery to me but I did hear that it had somethoing to do with a dead week or something like that.
