Dear Coach,
Redwood High School would like to invite your team to participate in one of the longest running tournament in the state of California, the 51st Annual Redwood Invitational on January 13-14, 2012. The tournament has changed to a 2 day, double elimination tournament and will be limited to the first 30 teams to reply.
Weigh-ins (scratch weight) will begin at 12:00am on Friday and wrestling will begin at 2:00pm. Weigh-ins for Saturday will begin at 8:00am (scratch weight +1), wrestling at 10:00am. We will use a 24-man double elimination format, placing the top 8 and running straight through to the medal matches.
Tournament entry fee is $375 per team due December 1st, 2011. Late entry fee after December 1st, 2011 is $400.00.
There will be a brief coaches meeting at 1:30pm in the Wrestling room. We will have a trainer on duty during the tournament but, please bring your own tape. We will have concessions available throughout the tournament as well as a coach’s lunch.
