Just love the colors! Thanks for your time and effort. What's your prediction on accuracy? 74%? higher?

Last year, only 4 of the 126 masters placers (9 placers x 14 weight classes) were not on this list...so, roughly 97%. .....now, if you take out the "HM" and try to measure what percentage (of this list's top 9) actually qualify for state, the percentage drops obviously. The good news, is thanks to a lot of help, we were able to get 78% of those correct last year. I honestly don't know if we'll reach that bar again, but we'll see.

When I say a lot of help, I mean it. We get help from Atascadero, So. Hills, Vista Murrieta, Corona Centenniel, Villa Park, Bloomington, Rosemead, Calvary Chapel, Rim of the World, Simi Valley, Hesperia, Oak Hills, and more....the accuracy of these rankings is truly reflective of the help we get, and I hope to get even more next year :) without Steve Stewart in the preseason, I would have gone crazy.

While I'm on this subject, i'm thinking of creating an official ranking committee. If anyone is interested, and is qualified, please send me a P.M. Thinking of meeting 3 times per year to accomplish what we need to. And of course, plenty of emails :)

Btw, can someone get me the years( grade wise) of the kids that I don't have??

Nate Pike is the real deal for sure. Super funky kid with some crazy scrambling abilities. Then throw in that unorthodox shot which seems to be very effective for Pike. Anyhow I agree this kid probably should be ranked #5 or #6 at the 115lbs weight class. Now the question is where do you put Matt L’Huiller who just dropped down this past week? I would say L’Huiller will be put at the #5 spot and Pike the #6 guy on the list. Man I can’t wait for Masters as this weight class should have plenty fireworks period.

Orta looked pretty impressive at the Big VIII League finals. Dominating performance over Ryan and Glasheen it wasn’t even close in those matches. Orta looks very seasoned and in my opinion he is the clear favorite to win CIF Individuals.

iowaride Did you see the entire match? Weren't you coaching your wrestler in that same round? That match was clearly decided by ref who blatantly did not give points and stopped action when John Orta (Santiago)was in scoring position on several occasions throughout the match .The crowd saw the same thing, they were yelling for points several times and it was not just Santiago fans. Over 2 dozen strangers from crowed walked up to John and told him "you got robbed","you really won that match". This particular ref has a personal vendetta against coach Glassey and should not be using finals matches with Santiago wrestlers to carry out his personal vendetta! Adults should not make kids pay for their animosity toward each other that's just wrong!

I thank you and it showed some class on your part for congradulating Dyllon on his win yesterday after your first post about Orta at league finals last week. That was your opion and your allowed to have and express. I even think it was mostly true to some degree. Im not going to hide behind my screen name Dyllon is my son, so anyone that knows Dyllon knows me. Eveyone is going to have there thoughts on yesterdays match. I think Orta is a great wrestler and he did beat Dyllon at league finals and he was the man to beat no questions asked. I hope for all of our Big VIII league guys do very well at Masters next weekend and show how good of a league we do have.

That is negative my friend I was not coaching anybody during the finals match. Like I said earlier in the week, I felt Orta was the clear favorite to steamroll through CIF. However Ryan attempted more shots than Orta and did what he had to do in order to secure the victory. As far as the refs having a personal vendetta against the Glass Man I'm calling BS. There were two sets of eyes for every finals match. As for parents, coaches, and spectators you never want an official to dictate the outcome of any match so I will agree with you on that point. But don't we tell are kids to go out there and wrestle tough, battle like warriors and never ever leave it up to the refs? I think this has been said countless times to many athletes competing in any sport. The best part for Orta is he will have the opportunity to wrestle next week in Temecula.

Iowaride,Did you not see all the questionable calls and non calls made by the ref ? Did you not hear the majority of crowd yelling for points on all of those calls? Could all those wrestling fans and wrestlers including people from MLK all be wrong? and you be right cuz you know it all? How do you account for the more than 2 dozen spectators and wrestlers that told Orta "YOU GOT ROBBED","YOU REALLY WON THAT MATCH"? I believe YOU would call them INDEPENDENT WITNESSES the strongest kind! Right? Did you see the ref make the coin toss in 2nd rnd it fell for Orta ref then picked it up and tossed it a second time it then fell for Centennial?? Why would he do that? How do you explain that? That's BS and blatant! Since you called "BS" I will give you more proof in Orta vs Glasheen league finals, you were coaching, the same ref was reffing that match Orta had 2 obvious take downs, first was over hooks with an inside trip took Glasheen to his back, 2nd take down under hook with a knee pick to his back also NO POINTS ON EITHER MOVE! do you remember that match how do you explain that? Fortunately that match wasn't close otherwise it would have made a difference in the outcome, like it did here. Why is this same ref reffing both of Ortas finals matches in league and CIF? Correct me if I am wrong but isn't he the one who would assign the matches to the refs? Too much of a coincidence!

Suplex, Orta is a great wrestler. Take a page our of Ryan's playbook and just prepare for the next encounter. No one in the Big 8 was crying when he won league. Hey, you win some and you lose some. Moreover, Randy Campbell is not on any Ref's Valentine's list (as is Glassy), so your argument that refs are trying to screw your school holds absolutely no weight. To come on the forum and whine that things didn't go your way is awful. Especially, when Ryan out-shot Orta at least 3 shots to every 1 of of his. Best advice I can give you is to tell your boy to bounce back and do his best at Masters, hopefully get him to state and get a good draw. It is funny that you said that MLK wrestlers all believed that Orta won. News flash......, everyone in the BIG 8 and on the second day of CIF rooted against and cheered when any Centennial wrestler lost. That is what happens when you have a dominant squad. Maybe when Campbell retires, then your school will know the feeling of being the "Big Dog on the Block." Until then, stop whining, get your boy ready, and hopefully represent your school and the Big 8 at Masters and at State.

Garrett, He is a flag football coach! but his nfl team is definitely better than your raiders ( which isn't saying a whole lot) , This is definitely my favorite part of the season, And all this is so miniscule they are all qualifying tournaments until the state tournament, so who cares who beat who until the first weekend of march we will se who is best based on what position they are standing on the podium.

Wing Rt Rip Seattle Motion 21 Trap Zero Read is the call this weekend Garrett. It cracks me up how ol Suplex was upset at me because his boy lost. Fact is I thought Orta was the favorite to win it all at CIF. Ryan was just little bit better on Saturday night. A great wrestling coach once told me “you are never promised tomorrow”. As for rydtime the flag football coach comment really? Funny haha hehe I don’t get it! BetterMove I bleed blue for the Terrier Nation. Funny right?
