The Santa Clara Valley Wrestling Association will hold a Freestyle/Greco tournament at James Lick High School in San Jose for all age groups on Saturday, April 9th:

The timeline for Registration/Weigh-ins and the tournament will be as follows:
Saturday, April 9th –
7 AM to 8:30 AM - Registration & Weigh-ins
Registration costs - $10 first style
$5 second style
($5 additional for late registration (after 8:30 AM))
Following a brief clinic, the wrestling tournament will begin approximately 9:30-9:45 AM, beginning with our Bantam, Intermediate and Open wrestlers. All other age groups will follow. Come and join the fun this weekend! Get another step closer to your SCVWA Grand Champion award!
You will need a 2010-2011 USA Athlete card and proof of age (i.e. birth certificate, driver’s license, passport) in order to compete at this tournament and all of the California State Tournaments. You can only buy your USA cards on-line.
If you do not have a current USA athlete card, you will need to purchase one online before you arrive at the tournament. Your new USA athlete card will cost $35 plus processing fee. Here is the link to purchase your card online: http://www.usawmembership.com/
Please note that ALL USA Athlete cards can only be purchased or renewed online.
ALL USA Coach’s Cards MUST be purchased or renewed online. All coaches will also need to submit to a background check as part of the process when purchasing your coach’s card.
Officials 18 and older must also renew or purchase their licenses online.
As always, to help our tournaments run smoothly, the assistance of our parents and friends is needed and appreciated. See the Tournament Director to find out where you can help. Volunteers needing community service credit need to bring their paperwork for signatures.

Our wrestlers are encouraged to work the tournaments as referees, and along with earning cash, can also earn community service credit by doing so. Just bring your community service paperwork from your school for signatures.
