The 13th Annual Western States Wrestling Championships, part of SCWAY, is scheduled to take place May 28-29, 2011 at Clovis High School. Participation is open to ALL individuals who meet age criteria. The age division for each competitor will be determined by that participant’s age as of the competition date for the tournament, May 29th, 2011. During registration, you will automatically be placed, according to your birthdate, in to the correct age division.

For seeding/separation purposes, all participants are encouraged to register by May 20, 2011 via online registration. The registration fee will be progressive to encourage early registration. Those registering by May 20th will pay $35 per entry. Late registration done online after May 20th will cost $50. Online registration will close on May 27th at 9pm. If you wait to register on-site on Saturday, May 28th instead of online, a $60 cash-only fee will be charged for entry. During final registration, wrestlers will be required to show proof of age upon request and turn-in their "Assumption of Risk, Waiver & Release of Liability" form filled out completely and signed. All online registration fees must be paid with PayPal or credit card. Seeding will take place on the night of Friday, May 27th. All seeding information received after online registration closes will be disregarded.

The Western States Wrestling Championships will feature some of the best competition the west coast has to offer. In addition, wrestlers will compete in top notch facilities which include the use of up to 10 full-size mats. Furthermore, the champion in each age division and weight class will receive outstanding custom resin cougar statue (see website for more details) for awards.

If you have any questions regarding the tournament, please contact me. If you will be traveling from out of town and need assistance with hotel accommodations, we will have a list of hotels available within close proximity of Clovis High School. Note: All those wrestling in the NUWAY America's Cup or the Jr. America's Cup event on May 27-28, your entry fee includes entry into the Western States.
