Input Please!!! Western States 2012

I am looking for some feedback on the Western States Girls Freestyle Inv. tournament for 2012. I have some tentative dates for CA USA tournaments for 2012 and am not able to have the National qualifier at the same time as Western States. With that said, would people be willing to travel to Sacramento in May? I had quite a few GOOD reviews regarding the tournament and want this to be a successful tournament for all the girls. I don't want to interfere with USA, USGWA, Reno or Middle School, which are end of March and the first 2 weekends in April.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, if not, no point in having this tournament again.

My vote would be to have the Western States during the Association Dual tournament. Not that many girls make it onto an Association Duals squad, & for many coaches, this is an off weekend as they don't travel w/ their wrestlers to the duals. Something to think about.

Yes, that is a good idea, I didn't think about that. Not sure if I can get the quality of officals as this past years if they are at the duals. Hmmmm, something to think about. Thank you for the input.

Carl is so smart. I think that is a pretty good time to have it as well. There aren't any USAW state or regional tournaments on that date. It would be a great tournament before Freestyle State for the kids. We will come whenever it is.
