14th ANNUAL CLOVIS INTERMEDIATE & HIGH SCHOOL TAKEDOWN TOURNAMENT

These two open takedown tournaments (intermediate & high school) are sponsored by SCWAY, C.U.S.D. co-curricular office for community programs and not affiliated with CIF High School Wrestling. No high school teams shall be represented. Please share this information and opportunity with everyone in you know in wrestling.

WHERE: Clovis High School (South Gym), 1055 Fowler Avenue, Clovis, CA
REGISTRATION: Pre-Registration ONLY on TrackWrestling.com. Registration will close at 5:00pm on Friday, November 18th. Unlike previous years, there will be NO walk-up registration! Registration is limited to the first 400 wrestlers.

ENTRY FEE:
Individuals: $15/wrestler paid online only through TrackWrestling.com
Club/Team Payment: $15/wrestler paid online through TrackWrestling.com or by club/team check on Saturday for groups of 8 or more ONLY.
DIVISIONS: High School Elite (9th-12th), High School (9th-12th), Intermediate (6th-8th)
WEIGHTS: Pooled weight classes for all divisions to insure the best possible competition for all participants.
WEIGH-INS: Home weigh-ins. ‘Actual Weight’ needs to be entered into TrackWrestling.com by 5:00pm on Friday, November 18th. ‘Actual Weight’ will be used to create pools.
ADMISSION: $5 (to assist with custodial fee)
START TIME:
Intermediate (6th-8th): Wrestling will begin at 8:00am.
High School (9th-12th): Wrestling will begin at approximately 1:00pm.
Gym will open at 7:00am. Wrestlers are expected to be ready when called for their match. Since matches are shorter & running time, there will be no 5-match rule and no mandatory rest between matches.
MATCHES:
Intermediate (6th-8th): 4 minutes running time.
High school (9th-12th): 5 minutes running time.
The time will only be stopped for official time-outs and the last 30 seconds of regulation time. Once a wrestler gains a five takedown advantage, the match is over. In case of a tie, 1-minute sudden-victory OT. If still tied after OT, the last takedown scored wins. If no takedown has occurred in the match including OT, wrestling will continue until a takedown occurs.
AWARDS: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards for each weight division.
SNACK BAR: There will be a full-service snack bar available throughout the day.
