How about Curtis Booth of Sutter Folsom at 95 lbs...took 4th at the Nor-Cal TOC last year and has beaten Wyatt Peverill at least twice, the kid is tough as nails, also look for emilio delariva and Dylan crane of Sutter Folsom to make their mark this year, but for now, Curtis Booth (as a top 5 returning toc placer) should should definitely be in the rankings
Issiah Perez is 1-1 vs Chase Zollman this season losing by points at Exeter but pinning Zollman at Jr Midcals and has beaten Gracie from Selma at the Corcoran Duals ... Also should have Preston Scharff at least a Honorable mention

a) there is this kid Cole Shelton who isnt that bad
b) looking at your list how tough was the JR Midcals--lol--seems like they all wrestled there
There are two types of people: those that talk the talk and those that walk the walk. People who walk the walk sometimes talk the talk but most times they don't talk at all, 'cause they walkin'. Now, people who talk the talk, when it comes time for them to walk the walk, you know what they do? They talk people like me into walkin' for them.
Also need to add Anthony Montanona at 105 --I think he beat David San Miguel at SCWAY k-8 State

Yes Ernie. I basically made up the ranking using Jr Midcals then a bunch of people sent me messages on who is who per weight classes so now the list is looking better everyday. Anthony Montanona is on the rankings at 108. He's been on the list for a minute now. Anthony has beaten many studs but you had to call out my stud. lol. Trying my best to use the CIF Rankings criteria - 1) head-to-head results; 2) returning state medalist; 3) common opponents; 4) tournament placings; and 5) season record.
Ernie you have the results posted anywhere from 2011 SCWAY State?
Ricky Landeros of Orland @ 70lbs....he beat a couple of the guys you have ranked last year as a 5th grader
ya i was pretty surprised to see the second year cadets as 8th graders too... i wasnt a second year cadet until my second year of high school! they will probably start hiding their ages better... a second year cadet that turns 16 this year, means they will be turning 20 sometime during or right after their senior year of high school..
i brought a young 7th grader (12 yoa, almost 13 ) to a tourny this year and in his first match he had one of those second year cadet kids... it was just obvious walking on the mat what was about to happen.. then the 2nd year cadet and his family get all happy after he beats up on my non teenager. was it that big of a surprise and that exciting to them that their kid that nearly could drive to this junior high tourny beat up on my non-teenager??
needless to say, my kid hasnt been back to practice since, thanks
Ricky- The results were on here but may have got erased after site got hacked I will get them from bardsley and see if he can post them again.
I will tell you in almost every one of your rankings the top 4-5 kids were there
As for San Miguel--heck no one has seperated themselves from the pack except for maybe Cade and Pico--the other ones all can beat one another on any given day it seems.
Cen Cal-- in my mind its like anything else x number of kids are going to fall in love with the sport and stick it out--y are going to slowly weed themselves out for a multitude of reasons one being discouragment. We all know our own stories of taking our own endless lumps and eventually getting better--I do agree that more needs to be done from an organizational standpoint--one of the things I always try and do is know the parents and kids and have the relationship with a kid where I can look at him and gesture to him to go easy and not throttle a kid just because he can--believe it or not it has worked several times and likely earned a kid a few more weeks in the sport in which to catch the bug.
Another thing that should be happening at the local levels is when a kid is stuck the match should be over officially but the kid should be wrestling a minimum of 2-3 minutes out there so he/she gets as much experience in a competitive situation as possible--it is usually at that time when a tournament director can talk to a dad and get him to allow the overmatched opponent wrestling his kid a few oppertunities in which that kid can have some type of success to build on.
Just my thoughts
It all comes down to having enough people that care enough about the sport as a whole to be more active, less selfish and willing to change what has always been the norm---easier said than done is my experience![]()

I agree with u here....now I know what the mom n dad r doing...they r looking out for the collage years....but I have to agree, u beat a yunger wrestler, do it with honor....dont jump up n down as if u just won the TOC finals.....my son has been there before, n I know how much it sucks for the kid n the fam....just keep encouraging him n tell him that keep at it...as my wrestling coach used to say...." u got to learn how to loose, before u can appriciate wining" this one of the reasons I love wrestling so much....it teaches u so much about life.....life is not always fair either....
