Out-of-bound rules
Please forgive my ignorance, but I am very new to watching this amazing sport. I've gotten hooked because of my children, seeing their growth and maturation through the sport, and seeing the way wrestling has completely changed many of their teammates' lives for the better.
Although I realize that there are probably a lot of factors that come into play, are there specific rules that dictate when wrestlers are considered out of bounds and when action is stopped to bring the wrestlers back to the center? A related question is: can Wrestler A pin Wrestler B if either or both wrestlers are partially outside of the outer ring?

Makes sense, but...
Great - this helps a lot. I do have 1 nitpicky question. On page 5, in the 2nd illustration down on the left, why is that considered out of bounds? One wrestler has both supporting parts either inside or ON the boundary line, although I guess a portion of his/her supporting parts extends outside the line.

The rule on out of bounds is that if supporting parts (one or both) of BOTH wrestlers are over the line, the action is called out of bounds. In the picture you are referencing, the "foot" is over the line of the mostly inbound wrestler. Although it is mostly on the out of bounds line, it does cross the line and therefore one supporting part of each wrestler is out of bounds and the action is whistled out of bounds. Hope this helps.

Thanks!
I understand now. Thanks for the clarification.
