Vacaville has a great history of upper weight wrestlers. It's definitely not a random occurrence. Congratulations to Schupp.

There's no doubt Mr. Birch is the best heavyweight coach in the state. Great job coach. I'm curious who's the next big guy to come out of Vacaville. I guess only Birch knows.

Thank you Dave. Coach Nelson started a great tradition of heavyweights here going back to Tim Hausler, Aaron Cantrell, Zach Rix and others .. but Devan, Jack and Schupp have been special. We are fortunate in that we have a great relationship with football (a football coach who wrestled). I have a feeling Jeramy Sweany will be on that list before all is said and done.

So who is the best of the bunch? If you had a four man round robin with Rix, Devan, Jack , and Schupp who would come out on top?

That would be some great wrestling to see all four in a round robin. You would also have to add in Tim Hausler, who from Vaca placed 2nd in state.
The greatest part of those wrestlers is that all of them are gentlemen will class.
