*Spring Fling* Clovis Area Opening Spring SCWAY Tournament

1. Clovis West Wrestling will be hosting the first Clovis Area Spring Folk style tournament at Clovis West High School on Saturday April 21st , 2012.

This will be an open tournament for age groups 5-6 , 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 , 13-14 and 15 & Up

Weights will be pooled together just like the previously held tournaments, by age and weight.

Cost per wrestlers is $10.00 if you wish to enter in two different weight classes you can however you will pay for two weight classes.

We wrestle on 6 mats, with digital clocks and there is no staging we go by bout number.

Our last tournament started at 9:00 a.m. and was completed by 2:00 p.m.

Each mat will have their own age group wrestling on it so your’ e not searching for your bout number on 6 different mats.

Weight ins will be at your club site and you will email me the age group and weights of your wrestlers On Thursday night or By Friday at 12:00 noon.

We will have weight inns on Friday April 20th from 4-5 p.m. at Clovis West High School

We will NOT have weigh inns on Saturday Morning the day of the tournament.

Again this is an open tournament and the style of wrestling is Folk style.

We have hosted tournament all of last year and top to bottom each age grouped was loaded with great wrestlers.

The high school division was NAILS..!!!! (Clovis West Wrestlers will be wrestling)

What's the age cutoff date? Age at day of tournament?

i believe its age as of Dec 31st of the previous year.

this opening central section tournament in the clovis unified area has always been a great tournout. please read all the tournament information above.

Bump! if you need a weigh in sheet club coaches let me know teams that will be present cw, buchanan, clovis, madera south, chowchilla, clovis north, bad donkey, team g, smackdown, wrestling prep, oakdale, bako schools. ...... Great wrestling

If it is developemental the age cut-off should be age at weigh-ins/day of tourney. Just my opinion.

JD's Dad - if you’re interested in tougher competition all you have to do is state your request in the emailed roster. I know last year in Zone 4 we had two sections “beginners” or “non-beginners” plus Ian gave us the opportunity to place advance wrestlers with studs -- just ask.
