@mramirez I'm not worried about the competition, I know the cental valley will bring it! I just want my son to wrestle kids his age, not kids that should be wrestling up because they turned 13 this year. Just trying to make it as fair as possible. But either way my son will do what he has to do!

My opinion really does not matter these rules are set by the organization SCWAY. I don't let any of my kids cut weight for these and often bump my tougher jr high kids into the high school division ( its all about getting the best matches)

In most cases the kids that come to the Clovis area event are looking to test themselves. I have never used the bday as a guidline but rather tried to know the kid and parent in advance of pairing for these spring, summer and fall events. The goal has always been to make sure everyone left with a loss or two in there round robin- Ian has always followed the organizational creed of offering challenge matches untill everyone has had there fill.
I say throw him to the wolves and if he gets eaten repair his flesh in the practice room.
