Default Toughest Quarters I have seen in a while

anytime Jaron Chavez is a legit 6th seed---you know it is nasty

    15&Under 95
    1. Jj Figueroa (Dave Shultz Elite)
    2. Jacob Wright (Dinuba Wrestling Club)
    3. Alexander Rivera (Team Smackdown)
    4. Kai Kramer (No Mercy School of Wrestling)
    5. Adam Velasquez (Unattached)
    6. Jaron Chavez (Oakdale)
    7. Gage Kim (Combat)
    8. Mason Boutain (Benicia Wrestling)
There are two types of people: those that talk the talk and those that walk the walk. People who walk the walk sometimes talk the talk but most times they don't talk at all, 'cause they walkin'. Now, people who talk the talk, when it comes time for them to walk the walk, you know what they do? They talk people like me into walkin' for them.

Who's on seeding committee? You honestly believe that stud won't finish top 3?

Need to drop Kramer down as he has lost multiple times this year to Chavez.

and what about the wins he has over and the others.

There are tons of head to heads here--trust me 4 of them were on the Cornell trip and they also wrestled at final 4 duals and elite 8.

I am pretty sure I am not off my rocker. Its a tough bracket--and is seeded properly--

Any of the 8 could win it or even someone unseeded as two pretty tough kids would have been 9 and 10--the Kim kid is nails as well. All these kids are very tough and its a 1-2 point match either way.

That is a tough bracket, and its going to be a good match up, round after round. Just like in the Elite 8. (great picture by the way Ernie)

Quality not Quantity---one day soon hopefully will see 24 man brackets filled with this type of quality.

MYWAY in MI had there state event start today as it is three days on 24 mats 100+ brackets just smaller spread between weights (avg 22-24). 2400 kids that come from almost 5000 kids k-8 who wrestle in qualifiers (everyone who qualifies shows up as it is the BIG EVENT for their state). They have 9200 k-8 members--when you see this first hand as some of us have as well as the PJW you can understand why we want to build an actual system instead of just a go wherever you want model.

This summer Steve Lawson and myself will have (3) NCAA Champs Simaz, Bozak, and Dake out and they will share a little more about how these systems prepared them for HS and the NCAA levels.

Maybe the guys doing the seeding saw the finals at last weeks' USA tournament when Kramer had a 1-0 lead on this weeks' SCWAY #1 Seed halfway through the 3rd and didn't feel the 5 point Granby coming, or maybe they saw the 6-1 Quarters bout against this weeks' SCWAY #3 Seed?

If Kramer gets by this tournaments #3 Seed, again, and the #1 Seed doesn't drop a match, the Semi's bout in the upper half of the bracket will be a rematch of last weeks' tournament finals.

If you were going to reset the brackets according the "most recent" head-to-head, you might want to move #3 down to #7 and push #4 through #7 up because the SCWAY #3 Seed not only lost to the SCWAY #4 Seed (Kramer) last week 1-6 but also lost to the SCWAY #7 Seed 2-9 in the 5th place match at the USA tournament.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the two kids that placed 3rd & 4th at last weeks' USA tournament aren't seeded this week. Maybe they can't make it to the tournament this week, or maybe they didn't get the memo about the seeding, or maybe they got the memo but just don't shiv a git.
