does anyone know where we can find the league breakdown that shows which leagues are in division 1a 1aa
or when it will take effect?

    takes effect this coming year.

I know from the north--the MEL and SFL are in one and the 2 deltas are in the other.

If no one else posts, i will tomorrow from school.

Default Div. 1 A and Div. 1 AA

From what I have heard, the separation will be like this: D1A consists of CCC, DVC, DRL, & SJAA and D1AA has MEL, MMC, SFL, & TCAL.

They took 2 leagues from the North and paired them with 2 leagues from the South.

Therefore, Division 1 A would have the following schools:

    DELTA VALLEY CONFERENCE (DVC)
    Davis Sr.
    Elk Grove
    Franklin (EG)
    Grant
    Laguna Creek
    Monterey Trail

    DELTA RIVER LEAGUE (DRL)
    Folsom
    Jesuit (boys only)
    Oak Ridge
    Pleasant Grove
    Ponderosa
    Sheldon

    CENTRAL CALIFORNIA CONF. (CCC)
    Atwater
    Buhach Colony
    Golden Valley
    Merced
    Pitman
    Turlock

    SAN JOAQUIN ATHLETIC ASSOC (SJAA)
    Bear Creek
    Chavez
    Franklin (S)
    Lincoln (S)
    Lodi
    Tracy

Then the Division 1 AA would have

    MONTICELLO EMPIRE LEAGUE (MEL)
    Armijo
    Rodriguez
    Napa
    Vacaville
    Vintage
    Wood

    TRI-CITY ATHLETIC LEAGUE (TCAL)
    Edison
    McNair
    St. Mary's
    Stagg
    Tokay
    West

    MODESTO METRO CONFERENCE (MMC)
    Beyer
    Grace Davis
    Downey
    Enochs
    Gregori
    Johansen
    Modesto

    SIERRA FOOTHILL LEAGUE (SFL)
    Del Oro
    Granite Bay
    Nevada Union
    Rocklin
    Roseville
    Woodcreek

Both tournaments will be two day, 16 man brackets - top 8 place winners will advance to Masters.

    Default also

I think its important to note too that Rodriguez will be joining the MEL and thus Division 1. They have won Division 3 two years in a row.

I think Bill is right - realignemnt was based on the SFL having won some ridiculous number of section titles as a league- they may be the best athletic league outside of the TRAC in Northern California. Their league won both Division 1 and Division 3 football section this year - so there was pressure on the section to make this change.

the sfl won 15 section titles last year, 11 the previous 2 years and i believe they have have won 7 so far this year.

they are very good at just about all sports.
