It will be interesting to see the strategy, especially how poorly the Junior Duals team has done recently.

Next Level: Advice would be have your kid win the state meet or walk on. OSU is the best program on the West Coast right now and will continue to pick and choose there wrestlers. There are many other options if your son does not get recruited there.

Mike will be a junior this season so hopefully he can get it figured out in the next two years.
At this point you dream big and knock on doors; you never know what opportunities are available unless you ask.
Mike still wants to be a State Champion. He had a rough experience last year but he is back on track.

Not sure if you know, Mike dislocated his kneecap 8 days before CIF. He limped into the CIF finals to help Calvary win the CIF Title and dislocated it again.
Mike wrestled Masters on one leg to qualify for state and defaulted out. He wrestled State on one leg and still went 3-2, Elijah Davis caught him on his bad leg to end his run.
What Mike did in the post season on one leg was truly amazing. If Mike can stay healthy this year he will do very well.

You never know when your last day of wrestling will happen. We will let coaches in the top programs know that Mike Longo exists but if the offers do not come; life will go on.
Mike will be a success in whatever he decides to do with his life because that is the kind of person he is.

I thank you for your advice, it is good advice! Mike is attempting to become a State Champion and we are looking at all the options.

BTW: Our Junior team this year was made up of a lot of freshman and sophomores; I think we only had one senior. We should do better next year.

This is Mike's Knee Cap it was on the side of his leg for about 6 hours until an ER Doctor snapped it back in place.
