Weigh-ins: 6:30-8:30 AM
Free technique clinic: 8:30-9:30 AM
Wrestling begins: 9:30 AM
Divisions for this week at Canyon: Kids (based on age and weight), Novice (Beginning "high school" freshman and Sophomores), Junior Varsity (this division is not intended as a second weight class for experienced varsity wrestlers), Varsity and Open (Advanced Varsity/Elite wrestlers should consider this division)
Style: Folkstyle
Entry Fee: $10.00 per weight class
Registration: All registration is the morning of the event or by special arrangement with the tournament host or Tom Caspari for outside the area teams travelling to the tournament.
Weigh-ins: 7:00-8:30 AM
Weight classes: Pooled brackets and double elimination.
Girls: Girls will be placed in the boys bracket, but will be allowed to wrestle exhibitions against other girls or a bracket will be put together at no additional cost should there be enouh entries.
Divisions: Kids (bracketed based on age), Novice, Frosh/Soph, Junior Varsity, Varsity and Advanced Varsity/Open (please check the individual tournament listed above for divisions offered that Saturday)
Medals: Top three per weight class
USA Cards are required: Cards are valid yearly from September 1 through August 31.
2012-13 USA Cards can be purchased online at themat.com for $35 plus an online service fee. Cards may also be purchased the day of each event for $45.00. There is no club membership requirement per athlete and insurance coverage for each card member is valid at any USAW sanctioned club or event nationwide.
